SMITH LTD’s RB.NAGAMASA is a rear-balanced long jig designed to combine a fast fall speed with a long slide. Rather than prioritizing a tricky sliding action, it was developed to maximize the distance the jig glides during the jerk while efficiently transferring the rod’s power to the jig.

The body features a faceted design constructed entirely from edges and flat surfaces, with the edges beginning below the mouth. This design helps reduce resistance during retrieval and makes the jig easy to control even in fast currents or when drifting down-current with the line entering the water at an angle. The strong flashing produced by the body’s faceted structure attracts fish during both the fall and the jerk. The basic retrieve is a one-pitch jerk, and using a stiff rod makes it easier to produce a sliding action in areas with fast currents or greater depths. It is also suitable for jigging with an electric reel. The lineup includes 180g, 230g, and 280g models, measuring 215mm, 235mm, and 250mm in length, respectively. All models are supplied without hooks.
