Smith CB Muramasa 3S

SMITH’s CB.MURAMASA 3S is a metal jig designed around the concept of “Spiral Slide Long Stay,” aiming to keep the jig visible for longer within a short vertical range after the jerk. It features a center-balanced, asymmetrical, single-sided full-flat design. When line slack is created after the jerk, the jig initially spirals while darting laterally, then slides in a horizontal position. Afterward, depending on the current and the way the boat is drifting, it either sinks slowly in a vertical direction while rolling or falls by reverse-sliding diagonally backward.

By limiting vertical movement during the jerk-and-fall retrieve and maintaining a horizontal posture for an extended period, the design makes it easier to precisely trace the target depth. It is suited to presentations that keep the jig from moving too much through a limited reaction zone, such as during slack tide or when fish are inactive, allowing more time to entice fish directly in front of them. It is also well suited to probing close to the bottom with a crawling presentation. Official usage guidance recommends this model in opposing-current conditions, where the line is prone to slackening, while CB Masamune or CB Nagamasa is recommended when the line tends to stay taut, such as in an outgoing current or when fish are highly active. The lineup includes 120 g, 150 g, 180 g, 210 g, 250 g, and 300 g models. As they are supplied without hooks, the hooks and rigging can be selected separately.
