SMITH LTD.’s Medjume is a center-balanced metal jig designed to imitate the movements of a weakened fish. By positioning the line eye slightly above the centerline of the body, it produces a wide range of actions in response to rod manipulation. During vertical jerk-ups, the angle of the back edge and line eye creates a gentle spiral dart, while stronger manipulation makes the jig turn on its side and slide laterally. When retrieved horizontally or diagonally, it displays a horizontal minnow action that combines rolling and wobbling. On the fall, it initially performs a swaying fall slide with flashing side-to-side movement, then transitions into a rolling fall slide, allowing the action to be varied by adjusting the strength of the retrieve. Multiple weights are available, including 105g and 135g.
