SMITH’s Jighead TAKECHAN WIDE is designed as a versatile jighead that accommodates a wide range of soft-plastic shapes and fishing methods. It features a wide-gap, strong-wire hook with a shape that pairs easily with bulky soft plastics, along with the strength to resist bending even during hard fights. A soft-plastic keeper is also included to help prevent the soft plastic from slipping out of position during use.
The head features an original shape that integrates easily with the soft plastic, with a slightly rearward-sloping balance. Even on a steady retrieve, it produces an irregular 3D Trick Dart action with movement in all directions, allowing you to draw out varied action during retrieves and curved falls. The large eye makes it easier to thread the line even in low-light conditions and accommodates the use of snaps. Using a snap produces more erratic movement and enables quicker lure changes. This model is designed for soft-plastic jighead rigs targeting horse mackerel and rockfish, as well as seabass, black sea bream, small pelagic fish, and bottom-dwelling fish.
