Jackson Metal Effect Sagoshi Tune

Jackson’s Metal Effect Sagoshi Tune is a blade jig supervised by Haruaki Ikegami of the guide boat Unlimited for targeting widely scattered pelagic species, including Japanese Spanish mackerel and Spanish mackerel. Inheriting the Sagoshi Tune design concept, it improves its posture during the fall and straight-line stability during high-speed retrieves by adjusting the eye position and weight balance. A fin at the rear of the lure helps stabilize its swimming posture.

The basic technique is to let the lure sink to the target depth and then retrieve it, combining the retrieve with pauses on the fall according to the pelagic fish’s response and swimming depth. Designed to maintain a straight path even during fast retrieves, it is an option for situations when no bait boils or surface activity can be seen and the target fish are not suspended near the surface. A strong single hook is used instead of treble hooks, taking into consideration the load when pelagic fish strike. The 30g and 40g models measure 53mm, while the 50g and 60g models measure 63mm; the 30g and 40g models are fitted with #L hooks, and the 50g and 60g models with #LL hooks.
