Jackson Metal Effect Stay Fall

Jackson’s Metal Effect Stay Fall is a metal jig designed to attract fish with jerking action and create a “feeding pause” during the fall. Focusing on the fact that a conventional slim silhouette sheds water too quickly, making it difficult to create a pause during the fall, Jackson adopted a structure with a recessed area on the sides of the body to catch water. One side of the recess edge is gently tapered to create a trigger for releasing the water. After the pause, the jig produces flashes while shimmying and slides in a leaf-like motion. The entire recessed area catches water to promote a horizontal fall, while the slightly rear-weighted balance also helps achieve greater casting distance.

The basic technique is to combine jerks with a fall. With the officially introduced “Black Panther Jerk,” anglers repeat three jerks followed by a fall, and the jig also responds to lowering the rod tip to create line slack when transitioning into the fall. At the same time, its design makes it easy for the jig to pause momentarily underwater even without intentionally creating line slack. The lineup includes 20 g, 30 g, and 40 g models, with different standard front and rear hook sizes: the 20 g model comes with F #12 and R #8, the 30 g model with F #13 and R #6, and the 40 g model with F #14 and R #4.
