Jackson’s Ocean Gate Shore Jig is a rod series designed based on years of expertise, allowing a wide range of anglers to enjoy intense, dynamic shore jigging. The blanks are made from 24T carbon, offering greater resilience than 30T and 40T carbon, while their moderate stiffness makes metal jigs easy to cast. Combined with Jackson’s original taper design, the high-balance construction reduces tip heaviness while providing the power needed to battle bluefish.

Equipped with Fuji K guide frames and Alconite rings, the guides are designed to reduce line tangles during aggressive rod action with PE line and when casting in strong winds. The foregrip features an easy-to-hold shape, while the reel seat uses a long nut that resists loosening. The JOG-1000MH-K SJ is a 10-foot medium-heavy-power model designed for long-distance casting across expansive fields such as surf areas. It can cast metal jigs weighing 20–80 g over long distances and is also suitable for casting large plugs such as diving pencils. This model is ideal for targeting distant bait balls and shore casting in areas frequented by large bluefish.
