Sunline Saltimate Aji-no-Ito Ester

SUNLINE SaltiMate AJI NO ITO ESTER is a polyester line designed to make it easier to work lightweight rigs when ajing and to detect changes and bites transmitted through the line. Taking advantage of the low-stretch properties of polyester, it makes it easier to detect the rig’s descent, contact with the bottom, and subtle reactions from aji through the line. It features the characteristic stiffness of ester, distinct from nylon and fluorocarbon, providing improved control for delicate fishing with lightweight jig heads.

The line uses a special ester manufacturing process and is finished for easy handling in light-game fishing. Its range of high-visibility colors makes it easier to operate while checking the line’s position and movement at night. Although its low stretch provides excellent sensitivity, proper drag adjustment is important to help prevent line breakage when a sudden load is applied. It can also be used in setups combined with a shock leader. When spooling the line onto a reel or tying knots, it must be handled with the characteristics of ester line in mind. Available in options including 200 m and 240 m spools.
