Sunline Saltimate Egi Leader BS

Sunline’s Saltimate Egileader BS is an eging leader designed for situations where the line is likely to come into contact with structure, such as rocky areas and around submerged rocks. The surface of the fluorocarbon line is modified through a special treatment. Rather than applying a coating, Sunline’s proprietary “Plasmarize” technology forms a special polymer layer on the line’s surface. This rubber-like elastic layer absorbs impact and abrasion during contact, while the design also takes into consideration the residual breaking strength after damage occurs and the performance of connection points such as snaps, swivels, and rings.

The special polymer layer makes the surface less slippery even when tying knots with PE line, helping to improve knot strength by reducing slippage in the completed knot. When the leader is subjected to heavy loads, the cushioning and toughness of the surface layer help absorb sudden impacts. The line is available in Blacky, a color designed to reduce the line’s presence underwater by suppressing diffuse reflection of light. It is offered as a 30 m spool in Blacky only, in sizes from 1.5 to 4, and includes size-specific colored spool bands. After use, check the line for damage and store it away from wet conditions and high-temperature, high-humidity environments.
