SASAME SHOUT Assist PE Line is designed for easy assembly as PE line for making your own assist hooks, taking advantage of its soft and supple finish. The line is made from Dyneema, which the manufacturer explains does not suffer the UV-related strength degradation seen in aramid fibers such as Kevlar.
Featuring a tube-braided hollow construction, the line is used with its inner core removed. By passing a needle through the coreless line, it can be processed for various applications, such as creating a loop when making assist hooks. Compared with Kevlar of the same diameter, it is softer and more supple, allowing you to adjust the length and shape of the assist line to suit the hook and ring. Model 89-AP is 3 m long and available in strengths of 50 lb, 80 lb, 100 lb, 120 lb, 150 lb, 200 lb, and 300 lb. Select the strength according to your jig and hook setup, then create original assist hooks by using a needle to fold the coreless line back and form a loop.
