Cultiva Big Game Casting Plug Assist

Cultiva’s CASTING PLUG ASSIST CA-141 combines the proven SJ-41TN hook, developed through extensive use in casting games, with an all-round single assist hook designed to suit a wide range of plugs. The assist line uses PFP-03 PE Assist Line 300 lb and features an unbreakable solid ring and an EX Short design. By keeping the assist cord short, this setup helps reduce the hook wrapping around the lure, missed hooksets, and line tangles. It is suitable for plug casting in rough seas and for hauling fish up over rocks from the shore.

Designed to suit plugs from 105 to 240 mm, the range includes 3 g, 4 g, 5 g, 7 g, and 9 g models. The recommended plug sizes are 105–130 mm, 140–160 mm, 160–180 mm, 180–200 mm, and 220–240 mm, respectively, with each size paired with a different SJ-41TN hook size. The specified breaking strength is 31.6 kg, 43.7 kg, 44.9 kg, 81.7 kg, and 90.1 kg, respectively, allowing selection according to plug size and the tackle being used.
