Cultiva Stinger Triple Extra STX-68

Cultiva’s Stinger Triple Extra (STX-68) is a power-class treble hook made with high-strength Tough Wire to withstand the instantaneous loads transmitted to the hook when using PE line. It was developed with the class of lure fishing intended for hard-pulling targets such as Japanese seabass and shore-caught pelagic fish in mind, and offers improved strength over the previous ST series. As a lure hook, it is suitable for replacing standard plug hooks and for hook setups on large lures, with sizes ranging from 2/0 to 7/0.

The STX-68 has the same wire diameter and weight specifications as the ST-66, making it less likely to significantly alter a lure’s weight balance when replacing the hooks. According to the manufacturer, replacing conventional ST hooks with STX hooks does not change the lure’s action, making this model suitable for anglers who want to strengthen their hooks while maintaining the action of an existing lure. It is designed for use with saltwater lures subjected to high loads; check the standard hook size and weight for the lure being used before installation.
