Cultiva Plugger Single

Cultiva’s Plagger Single (S-125M) is a single hook for plugs, designed for using single hooks when plugging. Intended for blackfin sea bass, Japanese sea bass, large trout, and small pelagic species, its eye shape, size, and gape clearance are designed specifically for plugging. Even when replacing treble hooks, it is easy to select a setup that is less likely to interfere with the lure’s action, with hook sizes available to match the size of minnows and plugs.

Designed for enhanced rust resistance, it is suitable not only for saltwater areas but also for targeting migratory fish and Japanese sea bass in brackish water. Available in sizes 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, and 4/0, the standard weights are 0.6 g, 0.78 g, 1.12 g, and 1.51 g, respectively. According to the official guideline, size 1/0 is suitable for lures up to 9 cm, 2/0 for up to 11 cm, 3/0 for up to 13 cm, and 4/0 for up to 15 cm. Check the body size of the plug being used and the weight difference from its standard hooks, then set up the hook while considering the balance between action and hook-setting performance.
