Cultiva Short Jig Assist

Owner’s Cultiva SSF41 Short Jig Assist (SSF-41 SHORT JIG ASSIST) is an ultra-short assist hook designed to pair easily with metal jigs featuring a compact profile. Sized for small-profile jigs such as the TG Edge, it is suitable for use not only as a front hook but also as a rear hook. Rather than simply shortening the assist line, it uses the high-strength, lightweight flat-eye SJF-41 hook. This design helps keep the hook neatly aligned with the jig, reducing the hook’s presence when jigging with compact jigs while providing reliable performance for targeted species.

Available in #1, #1/0, and #2/0 sizes, it can be selected according to the size of the jig and target species. It is suitable for jigging for species including red sea bream feeding on small baitfish, as well as pelagic fish. Take advantage of the short assist design by setting it at the rear of the jig, or pair it with the front of a compact jig, depending on the jig’s profile and presentation style. According to the official specifications, breaking strength is 21 lb (9.8 kg) for #1, 23 lb (10.8 kg) for #1/0, and 29 lb (13.5 kg) for #2/0.
