GAMAKATSU’s LUXXE EGTR S is a rod designed with an action focused on ease of use, pursuing comfortable handling for tip-run eging and visual sensitivity to detect subtle changes appearing at the tip. It offers the responsiveness needed for immediate hooksets, along with a comfortable feel when setting the hook into a bite.

The tip section uses a delicate carbon solid tip joined to a tubular section to create the desired action. The white-and-orange tip color makes changes at the tip easier to see during night tip-run eging. The lineup consists of ML and M power ratings, available in three lengths: 5'11", 6'5", and 7'0". The ML handles egi from 20 to 70 g, making it suitable for situations where its flexibility helps stabilize the egi’s posture or suppress erratic movement caused by waves. The M handles 30 to 100 g and is designed for situations requiring heavier egis, such as deep water, fast currents, and opposing currents at different depths. The S511 is a short model focused on handling and a more engaging fishing experience; the S65 delivers powerful hooksets with a large stroke made possible by its rod length; and the S70 is a long model that helps reduce unwanted movement from elevated fishing positions or in unsettled conditions. The S70ML also accommodates lightweight omorig rigs, while the S70M can be used for casting omorig rigs and standard egis.
