Gamakatsu Upper Cast Jig

GAMAKATSU’s Upper Cast Jig is a sinker for light casting that helps attract fish by keeping the rig suspended higher off the bottom. As the arm fixed to the sinker rises, it keeps the rig elevated above the bottom, making it easier to search while maintaining bottom contact from sandy beaches or deep-water breakwaters. The quick-rising arm design is combined with a streamlined head designed to slip through obstacles, making it easier to avoid snags around cover.

Compatible with eging rods and compact rods, it is suited to a technique in which the sinker is allowed to reach the bottom after casting, then the rig is retrieved to search for changes in the bottom structure. Because the arm lifts the rig, it supports not only a straightforward retrieve but also presentations in which the rig is moved while repeatedly re-establishing bottom contact. Available weights are 15 g and 25 g; 15 g is approximately No. 4 sinker size, while 25 g is approximately No. 7. Color options include UV Orange, UV Yellow, and Glow Green.
