Gamakatsu Assist Vertical Limit

Gamakatsu Assist Vertical Limit hooks are designed to target solid hookups while minimizing the hook’s presence during the fall and jerking action of metal jigs. A wide-gap hook is combined with a solid ring and features a long-taper needle point. Sizes 3/0–5/0 have micro barbs, while sizes 6/0 and 7/0 feature a flat shank, with the specifications varying by size. Assist Line 480 is used, and the hook base is fitted with micro shrink tubing to neatly finish the connection between the line and hook.

The lineup includes the single short GA-056, single normal GA-057, double short GA-058, and double normal GA-059, allowing you to select the line length and number of hooks to suit your needs. The GA-056 measures 13 mm in size 3/0, 16 mm in 5/0, 25 mm in 6/0, and 28 mm in 7/0. The GA-057 measures 20 mm in 3/0, 30 mm in 5/0, and 40 mm in 7/0. Choose the Short version to reduce tangling with the jig using a shorter assist, or the Normal version when you want to position the hook farther from the jig. With both single and double configurations available, you can set up the assist hooks to match the shape and presentation of your metal jig.
