Gamakatsu Assist Hook SLJ

Gamakatsu’s ASSIST HOOK S.L.J. is designed for super light jigging, with the aim of drawing fish in with the jig and getting them to take the assist hook. Intended for grunt, groupers and other small pelagic fish, it combines proven materials. The hook features a forged shank that flashes when it catches the light, helping attract attention to the hook following the jig. A soft bead is also included as a bite marker, making it easier to draw fish’s attention not only to the jig itself but also to the area around the hook.

Available in three variations—Plain Hook, Green Skin and Luminous Sheet—with both S and M sizes offered for each type. The Plain Hook makes use of the hook’s original silhouette and the reflections produced by the forged shank; the Green Skin provides visual variation through its skin material; and the Luminous Sheet model uses a glow effect when exposed to ultraviolet light. This ready-to-use rig is assembled with PE #8 assist line and is designed to be attached to the front or rear of a metal jig. It allows anglers to select the hook size and style according to the jig size, target fish size, available light and water color.
