Gamakatsu Yoihime

Gamakatsu’s YOIHIME is a jighead series designed with the inhalation bite and hook-setting performance required for ajing in mind. The AJ Custom features a fine-wire hook customized from an ayu hook. Its short shank is less likely to interfere with the worm’s action and helps prevent the worm from slipping out of position after rigging. In addition to its compact silhouette, the high-point and wide-gap hook design makes it easier to hook fish deep in the mouth, while the Nano Alpha coating combines excellent penetration with rust resistance. The flat-sided head shape produces short darts, and the weight is marked on the side for easy identification. Available in weights from 0.2 g to 3 g, it covers a wide range of applications, from lightweight float rigs to fast currents and deep water.

The AJ Custom TG Round Type is a spherical-head model made with high-density, high-hardness tungsten. Its more compact silhouette compared with lead creates less water resistance, making it easy to use in fast currents, deep-water spots, and boat-based jighead ajing. The hardness unique to tungsten makes it easier to detect bites and feel bottom contact, and the weight is marked on the side. The hook uses the AJ Custom Jig Hook, whose short shank, wide gap, and Nano Alpha coating support natural worm manipulation and reliable hook-setting.
