Gamakatsu Treble Hook

Gamakatsu’s TREBLE RB SERIES is a treble hook designed to achieve both enhanced lure hook-setting performance and overall hook strength. It is made with Gamakatsu’s proprietary high-strength, high-toughness Tournament Grade Wire, improving the durability of the hook point and the overall strength of the hook. The hook surface features a rust-resistant Hyper Shield finish, while select models are also available with a Nano Smooth Coat, which reduces friction and provides water repellency.

Compared with the sproat-bend SP series, the RB features a longer shank, with an emphasis on a balance that allows the hook point to enter the fish’s mouth more easily. It features a long-tapered hook point, center-balance eye, and micro barb, and can be used as a replacement hook for lures. The line eye is equipped with a Magic Eye, making it easier to thread a split ring through and improving ease of use when replacing hooks. The M Short Shank is designed to pair easily with plugs with short body lengths or plugs where the treble hangers are prone to interfering with one another. The M offers standard strength and a wide range of sizes, while the MH features a thicker wire and is suitable for a wide variety of saltwater lures. The H uses even heavier wire and can be selected as a replacement hook for targeting large sea bass and hirazuzuki (blackfin seabass).
