Gamakatsu Assist Hook

Gamakatsu’s ASSIST HOOKS are a series of hooks for saltwater lures, allowing anglers to select the appropriate setup based on the characteristics of the jig or plug, bait size, and target fish size. The P-FLEX MH 青物 TWIN is a twin-hook version of the P-FLEX single hook for plugs, designed to make it easier to keep fish securely hooked with two hooks. The increased hook weight also makes it suitable for plugs that can be difficult to balance with lightweight single hooks, and it is designed for bluewater plugging and reef fishing.

The ASSIST 59 LIGHT features a double-hook configuration for small pelagic fish and light jigs. The ASSIST 59 LIGHT BAIT PLUS features fish skin matched to the silhouette of whitebait, making it suitable for situations where fish are reluctant to strike a jig alone or are selectively feeding on small baitfish. The ASSIST 60 ULTIMATE SPEC uses Super PE front hook leader material at the attachment point and tuned tubular Muro hooks designed specifically for jigging. The assist line is braided in a four-strand construction to improve abrasion resistance and durability, while the connection features a high-strength stamped ring. The ASSIST 61 OKA JIG uses a shape designed for shore jigging to reduce problems such as the hook wrapping around or tangling with the jig, and is available in single- and double-hook configurations. Models can be selected according to the lure being used and the size of the fish, from small jigs to those intended for large bluewater fish.
