Owner Long Jig Assist

OWNER’s JTL-22 Long Jig Assist is an assist hook designed to reduce the tendency of assist hooks to snag around the jig, a common issue when using long jigs. A fluorocarbon core is built into the braided cord, creating a structure that keeps the cord aligned and significantly reduces tangling around the jig—an issue associated with conventional designs. The hook uses the Jigger Light Hayagake, which prioritizes fast penetration. Even during jerks that rotate a long jig, the hook is more likely to remain positioned away from the jig, supporting setups that convert bites into solid hookups. This model is intended for jigging with long jigs, including patterns such as cutlassfish.

Available in sizes 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0. The 3/0 features a 4 cm braided cord and a built-in 4号 fluorocarbon core, and is suited to jigs weighing approximately 100–200 g. The 4/0 features a 5 cm braided cord and a built-in 5号 fluorocarbon core, and is suited to 150–250 g jigs. The 5/0 features a 6 cm braided cord and a built-in 6号 fluorocarbon core, and is suited to 200–300 g jigs. Choose the size according to the jig’s weight and volume, then confirm the braided cord length and hook size before rigging. Braided cord strength is 140 lb for the 3/0 and 180 lb for the 4/0 and 5/0.
