OWNER HOOKS’ MEBARU DAMA is an ultra-fine-wire jig head designed for rockfish, with an emphasis on easy hook penetration and horizontal swimming action. It features an eye shape that makes threading the line easy, along with a balance that helps maintain a horizontal posture, making it easier to fine-tune the swimming position when a soft bait is rigged. The slim head has minimal forward projection, creating a shape that helps reduce snags around weed beds and similar cover. The bullet head can be broken off to reduce the weight, allowing the weight to be adjusted according to conditions. The hook is equipped with a minimally sized, thread-wrapped keeper to help reduce damage to the hook.

When fishing, thread the line through the eye, rig the soft bait, and retrieve at a consistent depth while taking advantage of the head’s balance for a horizontal swimming action. JH-83 is available in multiple weight settings based on 0.4 g, 1.0 g, 1.5 g, 2.0 g, and 3.0 g, with hook sizes offered to match each weight for use from lightweight applications upward. JH-83G is a glow type that retains the basic design and is suited to situations where the added attraction of a luminous finish is desired at night. Combining a fine-wire hook, horizontal posture, and a slim shape that helps reduce snags, this model is designed for lightweight swimming presentations targeting rockfish.
