EVERGREEN’s Wide Seeker is a heavy-duty big minnow designed around the Stream Seeker, with an emphasis on greater casting distance, enhanced strength, and controllability in extremely fast currents. Whether drifted downstream through powerful currents during an ebb tide at the mouth of a large river or worked through the whitewater along rugged shores exposed to the open ocean, it is designed to resist excessive movement or unwanted rising even under strong water resistance, making it easier to trace the intended course and depth.
Its action is tuned to a wobble-to-roll ratio of 3:7, producing a soft wobble-roll action dominated by roll with less vibration than the Stream Seeker. It also runs slightly deeper, allowing the floating model to cover depths of 0.7–0.9 m. The body is equipped with a magnetic weight-transfer system using two large tungsten balls. During the cast, the weights move to the rear, then lock into the position suited to the action as the lure begins swimming. The semi-long round lip, with a constant-width design, reliably catches the water while shedding an appropriate amount of water at high speeds, helping prevent action breakdown and unintended rising.
Measuring 14.5 cm in length and weighing 28.5 g, it features a through-wire construction in which the line eye, front hook eye, and rear hook eye are connected by a single wire. The front and rear hooks are both size #2, while the hook-eye rings and snaps are both size #5. In low-activity conditions or highly pressured situations, it can be used selectively to take advantage of its subtler vibration compared with the Stream Seeker.
