Evergreen Shower Blows

EVERGREEN’s Showerblows Big Mama is a floating topwater lure designed with the largest body in the series to maintain a strong presence in heavy wind, waves, and current while attracting fish across a wide area. It measures 150 mm in length and weighs 44.5 g. Its rear-weighted design and low-drag body shape make it easy to cast long distances, while the fat-tail body maintains a nearly horizontal floating posture despite carrying large weights, producing consecutive quick turns over a short distance.

The bill pushes water forward from the inside to create a bubble-filled spit, while its outer edges move water from side to side with every walk-the-dog turn. The flat-sided body adds further water displacement, and two large ball weights positioned in the rear of the body produce a rattling sound during side-to-side movement. The mixed rattle, combining tungsten and lead, appeals to fish through visual stimulation, surface disturbance, and sound. Its quick response to rod movements makes it easy to work, from consecutive quick turns to pronounced walks with varying intensity.

The lure features a three-hook configuration, equipped as standard with Treble Magic #2 hooks at the front and center, and a Treble Magic Feather #2 hook at the rear. The rear feather and tinsel shimmer even when the lure is paused, helping fish inhale the lure during short bites. Recommended tackle is a 6-foot 6-inch to 7-foot 3-inch medium-heavy to heavy baitcasting rod, with 16–25 lb line or PE 40–50 lb line.
