Evergreen Gimlet

Evergreen’s GIMLET is a straight worm designed to transmit subtle vibrations to horse mackerel and rockfish through its tapered, awl-shaped tail, which responds to even slight changes in current or line tension. Its simple body is paired with a sharply pointed tail of moderate weight and a constricted section at its base, generating fine vibrations from dead-slow retrieves to high-speed presentations. The constricted section not only acts as the pivot point that produces the tail action, but also folds with minimal force when a fish bites, creating a shape that allows the entire worm to be easily drawn into the fish’s mouth.

The worm is made from Evergreen’s original E.G.PDW-02 material, which offers high durability and resists slipping on the hook. Its hardness is adjusted according to each size and concept. The 1.5-inch model features a compact silhouette and moderate firmness for a crisp, lively action. The 2-inch model produces the same sharp, tingling vibration and is designed to respond readily to rod-worked darting actions. The 2.5-inch model has a long body with an additional constricted section at its center, and its softer material produces both fine tail vibrations and a writhing action throughout the body. Each size can be selected according to the conditions, rig, and retrieve technique.
