ECOGEAR’s CALL-UP HEAD is a jighead designed to announce its presence to widely scattered fish and fish holding tight to structure, using the strong vibration and flash generated by its two long leaf blades. The blades’ flickering flash provides a strong appeal even in low-light conditions, and the jighead is designed for grouper and other rockfish species chasing baitfish in the midwater, as well as flatfish such as flounder. In addition to producing flash, the leaf blades reduce pull resistance and help improve casting distance.
The head features double arms that stabilize the swimming posture while reducing snags. The custom hook has a narrow gap and sharp point, making it easier to achieve solid hooksets while maintaining strength. It also features a double worm keeper that secures soft lures in two stages, helping keep them in place during casting and swimming. It is suited to searching with a soft lure attached, taking advantage of the blades’ vibration and flash. The current lineup is available in 40 g and 50 g sizes.
