Palms The Dax

PALMS The Dax is a metal jig for light shore jigging, designed to achieve long casting distance with a compact body and responsive action that follows rod movements. Reborn in 2018 based on the Smelt Dax, this model’s compact, fat body delivers long casting distance, high responsiveness, and a fast sink rate. Its face, tail, and side edges are sharply designed to stabilize its flight posture during casting while producing flashes during retrieves.

On a straight retrieve, it produces a pronounced swimming action and responds readily to rod manipulation. Its fast sink rate makes it easy to probe areas affected by current, and it accommodates a wide range of presentations combining retrieves and jerks. It features UV Appeal Eyes that react to ultraviolet light, and comes standard with assist hooks fitted with flashers on Decoy hooks. The standard TDX series uses an assist hook at the front and a treble hook at the rear, while the West Japan-spec WTDX series is equipped with a single rear hook. The lineup includes the 20g, 50mm TDX-20/WTDX-20; 30g, 55mm TDX-30/WTDX-30; 40g, 60mm TDX-40/WTDX-40; and 60g, 70mm TDX-60/WTDX-60.
