ams design (ima) CALM 110 is a long-casting, slim sinking pencil designed to slowly search just beneath the surface, such as during river-based worm hatch patterns. Its ample weight and slim body shape, which minimizes air resistance, make it easy to cast long distances in estuaries and expansive fishing areas. It is also designed to resist being swept away, even in fast-flowing water.
Measuring 110 mm and weighing 11 g, this sinking lure runs at a depth of 0–30 cm. It features a wobbling-and-rolling action, and its body balance is tuned for an extremely slow retrieve, allowing it to maintain its action and stay in the just-below-the-surface range even on an ultra-dead-slow retrieve. It is suited to situations where you want to slowly drift the lure near the surface while triggering strikes, including early-season large worm hatch patterns and sand lance patterns targeting slender baitfish. In particular, when fishing offshore sections of rivers or areas with strong current, the basic approach is to retrieve it slowly after the cast while keeping the desired depth in mind. It comes equipped with ST-46 #10 treble hooks and #2 split rings.
