YGK X-BRAID Upgrade X8

YGK X-BRAID UPGRADE X8 is a high-standard model that combines high-density pitch construction with WX8, GP, and HST processing to achieve an exceptional balance of abrasion resistance and straight-line strength—two properties that are often difficult to reconcile in PE lines. This PE line is made by braiding eight strands, using polyethylene as the material, with a specific gravity of 0.98. While the fine, high-density braid enhances abrasion resistance, the coarse pitch commonly used in PE lines tends to improve straight-line strength by making the strands more linear. This line is designed to bring out both performance characteristics.

The line is green, with 15 cm-wide white marks positioned at 1 m intervals. These marks can be used as a guide for judging line length when casting or working lures. For saltwater lure fishing, line sizes can be selected according to the fishing location and tackle. The 150 m spool is available from 0.6 to 1.5号, while the 200 m spool is available from 0.6 to 3号. A wide range of sizes, from fine to heavy, is offered for selection according to the reel’s line capacity and the amount of line required.
