Supplies’ BLUE JACK is a metal jig designed for both casting and jigging. Its key feature is the ability to search different depths while varying the action through rod work, such as one-pitch jerks and fast, continuous retrieves, making it easy to build a basic presentation.
The hook setup is designed around a front assist hook. Attaching the hook to the welded ring on the front produces a larger action and supports presentations with increased attraction. On the other hand, attaching the hook directly to the lure’s front eye makes it easier to create a restrained, natural action. A rear hook can also be added according to preference. The 115 g model is approximately 147 mm long, while the 150 g model is approximately 177 mm, allowing them to be selected according to the desired weight and size. For jigging, use a one-pitch retrieve as the basis, adjusting the amount of slack line to vary the sliding distance and the way the jig flashes. For casting, focus on the depth after splashdown and the retrieve speed. The design allows the action of the same jig to be adjusted through combinations of rod movement and hook position.
