OSP’s ASURA O.S.P VARUNA was developed as an approximately 11 cm minnow to bridge the gap between the 9 cm and 13 cm sizes, with an emphasis on enhancing overall performance, including flash, water displacement, casting distance, and responsiveness. For saltwater use, the lineup includes the sinking VARUNA 110S and suspending VARUNA 110 SP SW. Both models feature a slim 113 mm body and a full-flat design that is less affected by wind, producing baitfish-like flashing and water displacement. Inside the body is a Honeycomb Super HP Body that combines reduced weight with strength. The moving-weight system uses three small-diameter tungsten balls to shift the weight toward the tail, contributing to long casts and accuracy through a stable flight posture.
The VARUNA 110 SP SW is a 16 g suspending model that dives to a maximum depth of 2.1 m on a straight retrieve and up to 2.8 m with continuous jerks. Its action, which combines wobbling and rolling, works well with straight retrieves and stop-and-go retrieves, while twitches and jerks produce sharp side-to-side movements with limited forward travel. It minimizes instability during fast retrieves and can be worked across a wide range of retrieve speeds. The VARUNA 110S is an 18 g sinking model with a heavier fixed front weight, designed to sink faster than the suspending model and target different depths. The hook size is #6X for the 110S and #6 for the 110 SP SW.
