OSP’s Bent Minnow 130SW (BENTMINNOW 130 F-SW) is a floating minnow designed to produce a surface action unlike that of lipped minnows or pencil baits, thanks to its curved body shape. The 130.0 mm, 20.5 g body reflects light from various angles across its curved surfaces, creating flashes combined with the body’s writhing motion. It performs from slow retrieves to fast retrieves, producing unpredictable 3D irregular darts that move not only from side to side but also up and down, along with splashes that break through the surface and dives. This model is intended for surface-oriented predators such as sea bass, mahi-mahi, and blue-backed pelagic fish.
The basic technique is a twitch-and-pause retrieve: give the lure two or three light twitches to make it rise, then pause. It darts even with soft rod movements, imitating the movements of an injured baitfish that flees before pausing to rest. With continuous twitches on the surface, it moves irregularly not only from side to side but also up and down, representing a baitfish fleeing in panic while being pursued. When left motionless in a dead-sticking presentation, it floats on its side and occasionally produces twitching, seizure-like movements and ripples during a long pause. It is equipped with #3 hooks at both the front and rear and has a floating specification.
