Major Craft’s GIANT KILLING 1G is an offshore jigging rod featuring a torque-focused, low-response design that guides metal jigs through their intended actions while reducing the strain on the angler. Medium-modulus carbon is used for the main cross layers to reduce blank stiffness and suppress unnecessary movement, making the jig easier to control even when fatigue can affect handling.
The jigging models use Fuji Kogyo K-frame guides, with guide settings designed to balance operability and strength according to the blank action. They also feature grip shapes focused on balance, providing a comfortable hold and helping reduce fatigue during long fishing trips. All models have a regular-fast action and a one-piece design with a detachable grip.
The baitcasting model GK1-B60M handles jigs from 120 to 210 g and is a basic model suited to one-pitch and slow jigging in nearshore waters. The GK1-B60MH handles 150 to 260 g and is suited to a combination of high-speed one-pitch and long jerks using 200–250 g long and semi-long jigs. The spinning models GK1-S62M and GK1-S62MH are designed for vertical jigging and drift fishing with the boat under drift anchor in nearshore waters. The light-jigging model GK1LJ-B63ML handles jigs from 40 to 130 g and is suited to one-pitch and slow-style techniques with a baitcasting reel, as well as fishing for rockfish and red sea bream.
