SHOUT!’s Heavy Spark is a single hook developed from the proven Spark Hook for slow-pitch jigging, with enhanced strength, penetration performance, and corrosion resistance to handle the power of large fish. Its heavy-wire design is intended for powerful fighters such as yellowtail kingfish, amberjack, and tuna, while the Spark’s distinctive hook shape absorbs the load when the target counterattacks.
The hook features a clear fluorine coating that reduces friction, helping the point penetrate smoothly during hooksets, while also providing corrosion resistance for use in saltwater. Despite its heavy wire diameter, the Spark-style shape is designed to help the hook point reach the fish’s mouth when the hook contacts the jig. It is easy to use when tying your own assist hooks for jigging jigs or when reinforcing an existing assist-hook setup, and is well suited to configurations using heavy assist line and higher drag settings.
