SHIMANO’s TANATORU 8 SABER MASTER is a single-color PE line developed for boat swordfish fishing, with the aim of preventing main-line breakage caused by mackerel pufferfish. Rather than using a conventional marked line, it features a lime-green color with no variations in shade. The color was selected with camouflage against the water colors found in swordfish fishing areas in mind, helping to reduce damage to the line caused by mackerel pufferfish.
The line features a tightly braided construction with a smooth surface, providing moderate cushioning and durability against color fading. Designed for easy handling as a main line when using tenya rigs or sinker-and-swivel rigs for boat swordfish fishing, it takes advantage of its smooth surface. This model is suited to situations where color-coded markings for depth setting are not required, or where a single-color line is desired as a measure against the risk of line breakage. Available in a range of line sizes and lengths, including LD-F50V, to suit your application and reel line capacity.
