SHIMANO’s PITBULL 4+ is designed for finesse fishing, where precise lure control and high sensitivity are essential. It is the first SHIMANO PE line for lures to adopt an ultra-thin size range, starting at No. 0.15, with an emphasis on smoothness for easy casting of lightweight lures.
The line is made from IZANAS® ultra-high-strength polyethylene fiber and features tightly woven Tough Cross construction to pursue a smooth surface and reduced friction. This construction helps minimize variation during braiding for consistent strength, while its low-stretch design enhances sensitivity when working lures. In addition, a special silicone coating is applied to the surface to improve smoothness and help reduce color fading. It is designed to transmit delicate bites clearly to the angler and is well suited to casting and precise lure control with lightweight lures.
The lineup is available in 100 m spools in No. 0.15, No. 0.2, and No. 0.3 sizes. Two colors are offered: highly visible Traceable Pink and the less conspicuous Steel Gray. Select the size and color according to the weight of the lure being used, the required strength, and visibility in the fishing environment.
