The blank bends smoothly and progressively, while the powerful butt section develops power according to the load. It stabilizes the center-of-gravity balance when the rod is held upright, supporting lifting power during battles with large fish. The bending blank makes it easier to find the right timing for casting and enables natural plug manipulation with reduced action errors. Spiral X Core, Hi-Power X, and Nano Pitch help suppress the wobble, dullness, and twisting that can occur in rods designed to bend deeply.
The joints feature Screw Lock Joints that combine secure locking with easy assembly and disassembly, while the reel seat uses Shimano’s lightweight original CI4+ reel seat. Equipped with a V-Hold front grip, double wrapping, and titanium-frame RV guides on the butt section, the rod supports control from casting through the fight. The S76ML is designed with an emphasis on maneuverability in nearshore waters, the S77M offers an excellent balance of ease of use and power, and the S83M is a long model that combines casting distance with handling ease. The S77MH and S83MH are suitable for medium- to large-sized plugs, while the S83H is the most powerful model in the series, designed for targeting large fish.
