Shimano’s OCEA JIGGER MX4 PE is a four-strand braided PE line designed for slow-pitch jigging. Featuring a low-stretch design produced using the MX manufacturing process, it prioritizes efficient water cutting, sensitivity, and tensile strength. Made with IZANAS® ultra-high-strength polyethylene fibers, the line is impregnated with a special silicone material that repels water and improves handling. Its four-strand construction also provides durability and resistance to abrasion against structure, making it suitable for situations where anglers need to detect changes near the seafloor and monitor line condition while working a jig.
The lineup includes a solid lime-green, markerless version and a color-marked version divided into five colors at 10-meter intervals. The solid-color model is easy to use for slow-pitch jigging without having to focus on changes in line color, while the color-marked model is also useful for targeting the mid-water column while checking depth and the amount of line released. Line capacities are primarily available in 300 m for PL-O74P, 600 m for PL-O94P, and 1,200 m for PL-O14X, allowing anglers to choose according to the depth of the fishing area and the reel being used. Sizes range from PE 0.8 to PE 4, covering applications from inshore jigging to deep-water fishing.
