SHIMANO’s COLTSNIPER TG VERSATE is a tungsten-composite metal jig designed to combine a compact profile, casting performance, and action during jerks. A tungsten weight is incorporated into the center of the lead body, helping it maintain a stable flight posture even when casting into a headwind while keeping the overall size compact.
During retrieves, it produces a pronounced sliding action with jerks, while on the fall it creates a vibrating fall as the body shakes while sinking. It takes advantage of the body’s flash and can be used with presentations that combine retrieves and pauses on the fall. In addition to jerking, it can also be used with a steady retrieve or a stop-and-go retrieve. The body size varies by weight: the 30 g JM-403P model measures 66 mm in length, while the 25 g model measures 56 mm and the 40 g model measures 75 mm. Choose the appropriate size according to the target depth, current conditions, and casting distance required. Hooks are not included, so they must be set up separately according to the tackle and presentation method being used.
