Reins’ Rockfish Flat was developed from the concept of adapting existing flat-shaped soft baits for saltwater use. Combining a segmented tail that captures even slight water movement with arms that generate subtle, vibrating micro-action, it attracts predatory fish by moving water with its entire body. The tail is designed to respond readily to fine currents, and together with the subtle vibrations produced by the arms, it delivers action suited to techniques such as lifting, falling, and swimming. It is available in a 2-inch size, with an overall length of approximately 50 mm.
It is compatible with a wide range of rigs. It is easy to control with a jighead rig, suitable for presentations near the bottom with a drop-shot rig, and can be paired with a sinker for bottom fishing with a Texas rig. To take advantage of the movement of the segmented tail and arms, it is suited not only to a steady retrieve but also to presentations involving rod-operated lift-and-fall actions and pauses on the bottom. This saltwater soft lure can be rigged according to the conditions and presentation style, including with a jighead, drop-shot, or Texas rig.
