DUO’s Beach Walker series is designed for flatfish fishing in the surf, with an emphasis on stable casting performance and controllability that makes it easy to maintain a consistent depth. The flagship Axion 95S features a high-density 95mm, 30g body and fixed-center-of-gravity construction, achieving a stable flight posture that is less affected by headwinds and crosswinds. The inline lip integrated with the face section catches the current and transmits moderate resistance, while its design makes it easy to maintain a depth of 0.6–1.5m. The flat body produces different actions depending on retrieve speed: a tail-flipping action on a slow retrieve, subtle vibrations at medium speed, and a flash-and-roll action at high speed. During the fall, it produces a vibrating action in a nearly horizontal posture with the tail held slightly lower.
It can primarily be used with a straightforward retrieve, and also supports drifting in current and rod-worked jerks. The Axion 95S is less prone to rising significantly, making it suitable for targeting the range near the bottom. The Axion Slim 105S features a long, slim 105mm, 33g body and a downsized lip, providing a stable flight posture with reduced air resistance and a depth range of 0.5–2.0m. While retaining the original model’s ability to maintain its depth and its side-to-side tail-swaying action, the smaller lip makes it less likely to contact the bottom in shallow surf and reduces resistance during the retrieve. Both models are typically equipped with #4 hooks and #3 hook eyes.
