DAIWA’s SALTIGA ROUGH RIDE HIRAMASA TUNE is a floating pencil designed for yellowtail kingfish casting, delivering a highly responsive diving action. Its high buoyancy and finely tuned line eye produce a diving and wobbling-roll action that responds instantly to rod movements. As it rises at the end of the retrieve, it quickly slides laterally or diagonally, creating a change in action after the lure is paused.
The body features a dimpled structure designed to smooth turbulent airflow during flight, pursuing stable casting distance in strong winds. During a dive, air trapped in the dimples forms bubbles that envelop the body, adding popper-like bubbles to the wobbling action. During a fast retrieve, it can swim smoothly from the surface to just below the surface without losing stability. Available in 140F and 160F models, the 140F requires careful adjustment of input strength and speed characteristic of its smaller body, while rod manipulation allows precise control of diving depth and action. Both models come standard with heavy-wire treble hooks: #1/0 for the 140F and #2/0 for the 160F.
