DAIWA’s KYOHGA-X is an entry-level model developed through extensive field testing for enjoying cutlassfish jigging throughout the day. It features a center-cut two-piece design for easy portability, along with an original reel seat that securely locks the reel in a deep position for compatibility with a wide range of reels. The blank’s butt section incorporates BRAIDING X, which uses carbon tape wrapped in an X pattern to reduce twisting during rod operation while pursuing enhanced handling with a slim blank.
The 63B-3 is a Power 3 baitcasting model with a moderately firm tip and a taper leaning toward regular-slow, designed for aggressively working jigs with solid jerks. Its action makes it easier to detect bites in deep water and is suited to areas deeper than 150 m and large cutlassfish during peak season. It measures 1.91 m in length, features a center-cut two-piece construction, is rated for lure weights of 80–200 g, and is compatible with PE 0.6–1.5 line. The 63B-1.5 has a supple action that makes it difficult to bounce the jig, the 63B-2 is designed for one-pitch jerks across a wide range of jig weights and depths, and the 63B-3 is suited to deep water and large cutlassfish.
