DAIWA’s KYOGA Hook SS LJ is a treble hook featuring the “Baraseless System,” which incorporates a swivel into the center shaft to help reduce fish loss after hook-up when jigging for cutlassfish. When the fish spins during the retrieve, the swivel mounted on the hook shaft absorbs the movement, helping to minimize uneven loads on the hook. The rear treble model is designed to be positioned at the rear of a metal jig and is suitable for situations where cutlassfish are frequently foul-hooked while jigging.
The hook uses DAIWA’s SAKUSAS specification with a special fluorine-based plating finish, and its straight point is angled inward to prioritize penetration. The barbless design allows the hook point to penetrate deeply, combining strong penetration with improved fish-holding ability. LJ is a small-hook series designed for light jigging, and the treble model features three hooks. The BL model is equipped with a glow bite marker, allowing the hook itself to be made visible in deep water, murky currents, and during night fishing. Connect it to the rear eye of a metal jig, and select between front and rear models, as well as treble and quattro configurations, according to the jig’s size and weight.
