Gamakatsu’s ASSIST HOOK SLJ is designed for super light jigging, drawing fish in with a metal jig and guiding the assist hook toward the fish’s mouth. The GA-026 features a green-skin design and uses carefully selected materials along with a forged hook that produces a flashing effect. In addition to the hook’s presence, the fish-skin material adds an appealing element, making this setup suitable for situations where fish show interest in the jig but are reluctant to commit to the hook, with an emphasis on the silhouette and shimmer of baitfish.
A soft bead is positioned at the base of the hook to serve as a bite marker. This configuration allows anglers to entice fish through jig manipulation while using the hook and skin material as a trigger for bites. In addition to the green-skin version, the GA-026 is also available with a glow-in-the-dark sheet, allowing anglers to choose according to their preferred presentation. Designed for super light jigging targeting grunt, groupers, and small pelagic fish, this assist hook is available in S and M sizes to match the target species and the jig being used.
