YGK GALIS SCRUM16 ASSISTLINE is an assist line designed for more delicate jigging, with an emphasis on total balance that includes not only the jig and hook but also the assist line itself. Made from extremely flexible PE material braided into 16 strands, it features a smoother surface than conventional assist lines while combining moderate stiffness with supple flexibility. It is easy to handle when making assist hooks and is also well suited to slow jigging, where delicate hook settings are required.
Made from polyethylene with a specific gravity of 0.98, it is available in blue and white. Both colors come in 5 m spools, with sizes ranging from No. 5 to No. 30. Select the size according to the hook size, jig, and overall tackle balance, then adjust the assist hook length and hook setting for use. In addition to its flexibility, it offers moderate stiffness, making it easy to create setups that take advantage of the assist line’s supple characteristics.
