YGK AMBERCORD Absorber Ultra Strong FC Leader is a leader model that uses the base material from the “Ultra Strong Absorber” series, long used for fluorocarbon lines intended for large fish, in a leader designed for finesse lure fishing. It is designed to combine strength in a thin diameter with suppleness that is less likely to interfere with lure action.
Special extrusion molding and calibration give the surface a smooth finish, helping to minimize strength loss during knot tying. While providing the sensitivity characteristic of fluorocarbon, its supple line characteristics make it easier to produce natural lure action, with consideration also given to reducing line breaks caused by sudden impacts. Another feature is its resistance to changes in quality even in the low temperatures of severe winter or in high-temperature environments. Supplied in a 30 m spool, it is available in sizes from No. 0.4 to No. 2.5 and is tied to the end of a PE line for use as a leader. Select the size according to the line system, lure, and cover conditions, from light saltwater lure fishing that takes advantage of its thin diameter to setups requiring greater strength.
