Jackson’s Tobisugi Daniel is a metal vibration lure designed to combine a compact profile with long casting distance, allowing you to search a wide area efficiently. Its casting performance exceeds what its weight would suggest, making it well suited to situations where long casts are needed but the water is shallow or the baitfish are small. It can be used to target predatory fish such as flounder, sea bass, flathead, and pelagic species in surf, harbors, rivers, and rocky shore areas. Its action is dominated by a strong, wide wobble that effectively communicates the lure’s presence across a broad area.

The basic retrieve is a steady retrieve. On a free fall, it quickly reaches the bottom, while on a controlled, curved fall with tension on the line, it sinks with a rolling action to entice fish. It quickly reaches the desired depth and also supports vertical presentations that combine the fall. The 14 g, 20 g, 30 g, and 40 g models feature treble hooks on the tail and belly, a setup designed to handle bites from different directions. The 1 g model for light saltwater fishing uses a tinsel-dressed single hook that is easy to set even with slight suction, and its compact 21 mm body is suited to horse mackerel fishing and similar applications.
