DUO Beach Walker

DUO International’s Beach Walker Wedge is a sinking pencil designed to create a presence distinct from the conventional Beach Walker series by combining a slim, long profile with a relaxed swinging action. Intended for shallow areas and structure where it is difficult to work a minnow, it has enough volume to remain noticeable even in whitewater, while its design allows it to sink in a horizontal position. The 120S measures 120 mm in length, weighs 38 g, and features a fixed center of gravity with a sinking specification. Its operating range is 0.5–3.0 m. Its arrow-like casting posture is also a key feature, making it suitable for covering wide areas.

The basic retrieve is a steady retrieve, allowing the lure to entice fish with a relaxed swinging action rather than the aggressive movement of a minnow. During lift-and-fall retrieves from the bottom, its horizontal fall can be used to probe areas near the bottom. Official staff reports also recommend using it on the first lift after a long cast or working it through offshore breaklines. The hook setup is a size #5 hook on the belly and a size #4 hook on the rear, with #2.5 rings on both the line eye and hook eyes.
